Random video chat, the way it should work
Random video chat means you do not choose. You press a button and the service pairs you with someone who pressed the same button a moment ago. The good version of this idea has three parts, and Chatta keeps all three: the match is fast, the call is private, and leaving costs nothing.

Random chat in video, voice or text — same button
Random chat does not have to mean camera-first. The start screen lets you choose video, voice with the camera off, or a text conversation: a random text chat goes through the same button and the same matching, pairs you with one person, and the camera stays off until you turn it on. Every mode goes through the same matching and the same rules, and you can turn the camera on from inside a text chat once you are comfortable.

01Is random video chat on Chatta free?
Yes, your first matches are free and no card is asked for. After that, calls are paid with coins for the minutes you talk. There is no subscription and no charge for browsing the online list.
02Who will I be matched with?
Whoever is online at that moment. Because the site is built around American hours, most matches in the evening are in US time zones; in the morning you meet more people from Latin America and Europe. The online list shows country and language if you would rather pick someone yourself.
03Can I skip someone?
Yes. One tap ends the call and matching looks for the next person online. There is no limit on skips and nobody is told that you skipped.
04Is there a random chat without video?
Yes. Choose text on the start screen and random chat pairs you with one person for a text conversation; nobody sees or hears anything unless you switch the camera or microphone on later. Text chat stays free.
05Do I have to show my face?
No. You can start in text or voice and turn the camera on later from inside the same conversation. Nothing on your side is shown until you allow the camera.
06Is it safe?
Report and Block are on the call screen, matching is moderated, nothing is recorded to your device and nobody sees your name, number or location unless you say it. Adults only.
